There
are different shapes to the bloom of clematis vines, and they
vary by species. There are clematis vines with flowers shaped
like a bell. Clematis vines can also have random clusters
of small white flowers, or flat, broad flowers.
Clematis
vines, when cared for properly, can live twenty years or more.
Proper care of clematis vines includes a location with at
least six hours of full sun per day. Some varieties require
partial shade to keep flowers from fading, but most do need
full sun to grow. The soil should be rich, drain well and
have a neutral pH level.
