Heat Tolerant Vines
Heat tolerant vines are good vines to grow in areas that will often become extremely hot. Many vines will be damages by prolonged exposure to extreme heat. If a garden will be exposed to temperatures of over one hundred degrees regularly and for extended periods of time, extra consideration must be taken when selecting a vine that will be planted.

Honeysuckle are heat tolerant vines. These vines are easy to grow, vigorous, and nearly indestructible. These heat tolerant vines will provide food for hummingbirds and butterflies, as well as songbirds in the fall.

Heat tolerant vines are often also drought resistant. This makes heat tolerant vines especially suitable for application in a desert climate. They will often grow best in sandy or clay soil and provide a good deal of shade for anything underneath them.

Heat tolerant vines will also add a good amount of greenery to a landscape that may otherwise not be able to support plant life. Some of the heat tolerant vines will also make a good groundcover, if grass is not desirable or possible.
